Coach Yoon Jeong Cho is a former professional tennis standout from South Korea who achieved a career-high WTA singles ranking of World No. 45 in July 2003, making her one of the most successful Korean women’s tennis players of her generation. She captured five ITF singles titles and ten ITF doubles titles, including a notable WTA doubles victory at the 2004 Korea Open. Coach Yoon Jeong Cho competed in all four Grand Slam tournaments, with her best results coming at the US Open, where she reached the third round in both 2002 and 2005. She also represented South Korea at the Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004 Olympic Games, and compiled a strong record while playing for the national Fed Cup team.
Following her retirement in 2008, Coach Yoon Jeong Cho remained actively involved in tennis through Madanghue, an association of former national players committed to supporting youth development, scholarships, and grassroots tennis initiatives. In 2025, she was appointed Tournament Director of the ITF Chuncheon Lee Duk Hee Cup International Junior Tennis Tournament, where she is dedicated to fostering the next generation of tennis talent through her leadership and experience.
